War, Disasters and All is Well
It is not very often that I have an issue with writing an article or even a book for that matter. There are so many things to write about, the world is a goldmine of information and stories. It is 7:35 am on a Sunday morning and I have been staring at my keyboard for over half an hour without typing a single line of text. My mind has been racing over all the possibilities and has not been able to focus on any particular subject. All is well in the world, it is perfect the way it is and I can see the beauty in all of its circumstances. The wars in our homes, our communities and around the world have purpose, they are being fought because there are two sides that have agreed engage in war with each other and both have freedom of choice and opportunity to do so. I see and hear about natural disasters around the world and I can witness the beauty in them. They are people powered and it is right and proper that they should happen. Disasters do not have a mind of their own and are created by intelligence, our intelligence. I can see the perfection in how this works and do not feel compelled at this time to change it. I personally know people who are struggling and I read about others in the newspapers and see the struggles on TV. These are individual stories of tragedy and suffering and I can see the beauty in the struggle. I don't care to change how I experience these stories at this time. As I write this article I noticed that I have focused on all the negative stuff that is going on in the world at this time. I am aware that I have a tendency towards doing that. The positive side of the observations in what I am really experiencing is freedom, unconditional love and compassion. At the very deepest level of spiritual understanding, one would know that humanity creates its own circumstances and is not the victim of God's wrath or anyone else's. Humanity creates its own drama, its own struggles and its own natural disasters. I cannot at this moment think of a greater display of unconditional love than what I am witnessing in the world right now. Humanity has been given absolute freedom to experience anything that it can think of in the physical world. Man can destroy man, women can destroy women and the spirit will survive, our survival is guaranteed. The ego has carte blanche to destroy its body and others that would participate and yet it will still live. The tragedy appears to be only in the minds of men in loosing the body, and even that cannot be destroyed but transformed. At this moment the greatest love that I can give the world is to recognize how beautiful it is and not experience the drama. The ugly side of humanity has its own beauty. For the moment I have chosen to dwell on a deeper beauty and recognize the love and compassion that it represents. To try and change any of it would be trespassing or spiritual malpractice. Every life is purposeful and has its own meaning. It is only my thinking that would allow me to experience it one way or the other. All is well in the world at this moment unless I decide differently. It is my place to experience it in the way that I choose to. I do not deny that what I see represents the dark side of man. The Power of Inspiration
INSPIRATION can be a powerful thing. It can keep you going when all around you cries out "quit!" It is even more powerful than motivation,as motivation gives you your basic reasons to keepgoing--it tells you why you want to do what you do, because motivation is based on goals. These, in turn, may be based on necessity want or desire. But inspiration fills those reasons with hope, possibil-ity and enjoyment and keeps the "grind" from becomingtoo grindy. But just what does inspiration consist of? Iposit two elements: vision and mission. Proverbs29:18 says 'Where there is no vision, the peopleperish." A vision is the first step toward turningyour motivation into inspiration. A person with a vision sees down the road. He can sense what itwill be like six weeks, six months, a year, twoyears, five years and more ahead. But how do you get a vision?, you ask. Firstof all, you need to narrow your perspective. You can't attempt to "ride off in all directions at once,"so to speak. Try to decide what it is you arelooking for, so you'll know it when you see it.In other words, try to have in mind some generalgoals as to where you want to be six months a year,etc. from now. These goals will not only form thebasis of your motivation but should also serve to limit to an extent the scope of your activity.Next, try to locate and choose an opportunity(buisness, career or job) which you feel is right for you.This may be easier said then done, as there are many choiceswhich sound good. You may come upon an outstanding oneright away, purely by chance. If so, latch onto it. Butyou will probably have to pick several at first andstudy the things which each one offers and try to evaluate the potential of each one as you see it.Settle on the one which you feel has the mostpotential with the least amount of hassle (preferablyone that is totally Internet driven as opposed to one where you have to spend time calling potential prospects by phone). Once you have chosen your company, stand behindit in every way and don't quit or change your mind.B.C. Forbes said "Without loyalty, nothing can beaccomplished in any sphere..." Think of yourself as being in it for the long haul, no matter what. And try to envision, based on what you know, how things will be down the road. Keep that picture before yourmind, and never doubt. Napoleon Hill said "What themind can conceive and believe it can achieve,"and the Bible says, in Hebrews 11:1 "Faith isthe substance of things hoped for, the evidenceof things not seen." Once the vision is firmly implanted in your mind,let it become your driving force. Let the vision exciteyou with the possibility of its fulfillment and you willautomatically begin the next step--you are on a mission. Your mission is to bring about the realization of thevision. If you keep the vision in mind, you will moveforward in the mission, accomplishing enthusiasticallystep by step that which is necessary to bring the visioninto reality. You will have developed a sense of excite-ment, importance and urgency which will keep the fires ofinspiration burning in your heart and moving you ever onwardand upward.

The Power of Courtesy and Kindness
I'm currently listening to The Secrets of the Power of Intention audio program by Dr. Wayne Dyer. I highly recommend the program. In the program, he speaks a lot about the importance of kindness. When you consistently have thoughts of kindness, you have a clear connection to the way things work well in the world. Good things start to happen to you automatically. Even the chemistry of your body changes to create emotions that make you feel good (endorphins). You begin to attract allies who will go out of their way to help you without being asked.

I'm often asked the question, "How can I best help my children, spouse, family member, staff member, friend etc. improve/change?" In fact that might be the most frequently asked question I receive, "How can I help change someone else?"

They make you want to shout for more and they also rejuvenate the child within. They have inspired new dreams and goals, and made possible other options in life.
What Footsie Taught Us!
We have just inherited a rag, tag and bobtail of a dog called 'Footsie'. She was found three weeks ago wandering around outside a local restaurant for a couple of days looking for food. Paula, a woman who takes responsibility for stray animals in this part of the island, took her in and started to look after her. She soon found that, Footsie has such a quiet, loving nature but is definitely not a 'looker'. She wouldn't win any awards at Crufts. Pure white coat, almost albino type eyes but a protruding bottom set of teeth which means she always has the canine tooth on the left and several of her other teeth showing. But, as we said, a lovely temperament. Very playful, loving and peaceful.

I always had an active imagination when I was young. I hated school, and would pass the time away day- dreaming about things I should not even have known about at such a young age. I used to make up stories in my head, that would always have me as the centre of attention, like collecting an Oscar for a Hollywood film that I had starred in, or recovering from a major operation or accident. I think I was like this because I was a shy kid who lacked a lot of confidence. It was no different when I started work.
Entrepreneur and Mom
When I was 12 years old, I had surgery with complications. I was told there was a chance I would not be able to have children. Growing up I could not imagine my life without children and worried about it often. When I got married close to my 21st birthday, my husband and I hoped that we would be lucky enough to have children. Luckily, I found out I was pregnant almost a year later. However, soon after the great news, I got very sick. I was working full time at a corporate travel agency and I could not work. My doctor told me that I had to take care of myself or I would be at risk to lose my baby. My employer got very nasty with me and was not compassionate about my sickness. I almost lost my job, but my doctor was able to get me medical leave from the family leave act. The experience was horrible. I vowed to never have to choose between my career and the health of my baby. I began to look for ways to work from home. I tried Mary Kay Cosmetics but I was terrible at it. It didn't feel comfortable and I really had nothing to make me want to be successful.
