Discover The Magic Of Doing What You Love
Do what you love to do and give it your very best. Whether it's business or baseball, or the theater, or any field. If you don't love what you're doing and you can't give it your best, get out of it. Life is too short. You'll be an old man before you know it.~
Al Lopez
Since childhood we are coerced to follow the conventional path. Along the way, through happy accidents we discover small pockets of doing what we love. Unfortunately, due to the tremendous strength of our conditioning, we relegate our attention to doing what we must to survive. Only twice have I met people who have done what they loved and both events shook me to the core. Inspiration is watching someone doing what they love. The first time, I was introduced to a dentist. My mother had sent me to see him because I was about to graduate from high school and I wanted to choose a profession for college. She had been a patient of the dentist and had been highly impressed by him. The dentist showed me around his office. It was evening, and the office had closed. He was so enthusiastic that I could barely follow along. He showed me a variety of instruments, he showed me textbook after textbook of the most horrific dental conditions and rhapsodized about how dentistry could fix them, and-he showed me what it is like to be happy. The second time, I was introduced to a surgeon. Unfortunately, I was his patient. This man used to be a general practitioner, and then fell in love with surgery. He just loved helping people. Besides saving my life, he also showed me the power of doing what you love. He was always laughing, joking, and appeared to be having the time of his life. Both these men enjoyed tremendous wealth and success. I met them socially, too, and learned more about them. Life and joy just emanated from them. They were the most charming and amazing people in any social setting. Their charisma emanated from doing what they loved all day long. If you're not doing what you love, then you're at the wrong place, with the wrong people, and doing the wrong thing. Your life is heavy with repressed desire. And the weight of your unlived life will not let you have a moment of true spontaneity. But--how do we just throw away the entire fabric of what we consider our safety and plunge into doing what we love? How do we probe past the layers of self-denial that have what we love to do? There are three things to do to live your life on your own terms doing what you love. The first is to spend some time in introspection and find what you love to do. The second is to begin where you're at to do it. Do it as recreation if you don't have an outlet. The main thing to do is to let it happen. The third thing is to let it expand by itself to fill your life. Your skills will improve, your hobby will attract opportunity, and one day, you'll find the joy of living your life the way you want and be a blessing to all those around you. The HUGE Deposit of Diamond in You
Something happened to me some years back that is worthy is sharing with everybody all over the world. When I started running my business, things were very tough for me to the point that I could hardly afford to have a dime on me. One of those days, I was at home and very hungry with no hope of seeing anything to munch. I tried to force myself to sleep, but I could only succeed for just thirty minutes! I was so hungry that I just couldn't have time for my favorite past time, reading.

Living Profoundly
When you realize that you really want to have an impact in this world, to make a difference, remember that it is in each moment that you are alive and in the present. When you are too busy worrying about what you don't have, what you have to do, where you've been, and what you don't have, you're not in the present; you're consumed by the past you can't change and the future that has yet to happen. There is no impact in either place.

Loving You
The difficulty in finding love that is good for you stems from the same difficulty you have loving yourself. For those who believe in God or a higher power, to not love yourself is to not love the very source of your existence. To not trust yourself is to not trust the source of all life. To not forgive and have compassion for yourself is to not have forgiveness and compassion for others created from the same source. What is this source? Call it what you will, all matter comes from energy and all energy comes from Source. Leave the scientists and religious thought leaders left to their devices to try and explain that. You focus on your relationship, to self and to source.

Adages for the New Age
The old familiar adages just don't do it for me any more. For instance, consider "the early bird gets the worm." In this age of freelancing, premature ejaculation and peaking too early in one's career (by age 24) a more appropriate adage might be "The early bird dies earlier."

Quotable Quotes Are Nothing More Than Flowery Words
Quotable quotes are nothing more than flowery words... And anyone
given enough time and cognitive power anyone can put one
together. Yes, they may strike a chord or make you feel good,
but their true value resides in what they encourage and excite
you to put into action. Ideas not followed by action have very
little power.
Here is one for you: "Only that which is eternal has any true
value." Now you think about that quote and in some circles it
might be considered pretty quotable. So does this mean that if
this online message lasts for eternity that it has true value?
Actually the author is attempting to convey something more
profound (I happen to know him pretty well).
The only thing which is eternal (quotable or non-quotable) is
that which lies within you -- your spiritual core. This is your
true identity and therefore anything that cannot stand the test
of infinity is but a passing fancy. What does this have to do
with quotable quotes? Well a lot..hang with me.
If you are focusing on the infinite then you must take the
action necessary to strengthen and escalate the Power of the
Infinite within yourself. The next logical question may be,
"Well how do increase this power within?"
All great teachers, sages and saints since time immemorial have
told us in one-way-shape-or-fashion that the power to win in
your life comes quite simply from two things. You must
constantly:
Study, understand, and immerse yourself in that
which brings you power.
Avoid all that weakens you.
Unfortunately, you live in a world that will inundate you with
that which weakens. Increasing your Infinite Self then becomes a
matter of critical action; and here is where we tie this
conversation into quotable quotes.
The fact that you are alive in this century guarantees that you
are highly exposed to negative input from the media, friends,
school systems, family members and various other energy
vampires.
Now while you may not find all of above factors as negative in
your life, we can be pretty well assured that unless you avoid
television, newspapers and magazines all together (something you
might strongly consider), you have at minimum some negative
energy to contend with. If you are barraged by negative media
input on a daily basis you must actively seek input to the
contrary just to stay at equilibrium.. much less get ahead of
the energy game. Enter quotable quotes.
The infamous quotable quotes could indeed be a part of your
action plan to offset negative input from other sources.
Ultimately you will become that which you think about all day
long, for thoughts breed action and actions breed results.
Read the quotes as well as other pieces of inspiration and
power; and then most importantly...act boldly in accordance with
this line of thinking and pull yourself from the quagmire of
collective limitation. You were born into greatness but have
been conditioned into mediocrity -- and you can quote me on that
one.

How Do You Do That? Demystifying People With Disabilities
Introduction
Death Wish
I tremble at the thought that millions of people suffer enough to entertain a death wish. Perhaps it is as common a component of the psyche as suffering is a widespread phenomenon among humans. I suppose it is normally counterbalanced by the appetite for life, which joy and hope can whet, but is it ever overturned? Probably not, at least not for long, and that worries me. Could numerous instances of big-risk-taking be death-wish-related? Overeating, smoking, speeding, every human deed that is potentially lethal, including war, may be symptomatic of a death wish, all the more pernicious as it is usually denied or concealed behind other motives.
When Failure is a Gift
I wanted, for many many years, to be a mystery writer. Finally I wrote a mystery novel. I got a best-selling novelist to be my mentor and help me with the rewrite. I got an agent. They sent the book out. And sent it out. And sent it out. And it went nowhere.
