Change Your Landscape by Seeing with New Eyes
A Story (Source Unknown) ? One day a very wealthy father took his son on a trip to the country for the sole purpose of showing his son how it was to be poor. They spent a few days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. Upon return from their trip, the father asked his son how he liked the trip. "It was great, Dad," the son replied. "Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked. "Oh, yeah," said the son. "So what did you learn from the trip?" continued the father. The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to leave on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them." The boy's father was speechless. Then the son added this last remark: "It showed me how poor we truly are." The young boy demonstrated that his focus created a new reality and allowed him to see with "new eyes." Individual leaders can also exchange "old eyes" for "new eyes." For example, individuals who react without thinking to the negative attitudes of others give away their own personal power. By creating a new reality in which they keep their personal power, they begin to see how they can lead through positive attitudes. By remembering that our reality is created from our past and current experiences and that we "see" pictures in our mind when we hear words, we can initiate change while simultaneously encouraging new attitudes through these new words. Seeing with "new eyes" can be the first step in changing the "landscape" within any individual. Marcel Proust many years ago understood the importance of changing our perspective when he penned these words: "The voyage of true discovery lies not in seeking new landscapes, but in seeing with new eyes." Love and Courage
To [many] work is not a gratifying opportunity to do good, but a necessary evil they would gladly forgo if they won or inherited a fortune. It is just a livelihood, a vital drudgery. Its meaning is the paycheck and the value it has in terms of service to their community is indifferent or very subordinate.

it is "in there" somewhere, we can't access it because the poor Grey Matter Computer is so jammed it takes

The Art of Giving
In the pursuit of the life we dream of, this journey we are on for
successful living, the focus is usually on figuring out what it is exactly
that we want and then setting ourselves on course for going and getting it.
This is very important: Know what you want to get for your life and then
pursue it.
Realistic Living

and he who hath so little knowledge of human nature as
to seek happiness by changing anything but his own

and multiply the grief he purposes to remove." ?

A Perspective on Life!
All of our lives we always seem to direct our concern toward attempting to conclude our life path or destiny in this lifetime without really knowing or understanding what this means to us. In reality the importance lies not in trying to determine our life path or destiny, but, in effect of how much growth we accomplish within one lifetime. So you are not condemned if you make one or two mistakes from time to time! The importance in reality in the acceptance of the situation, then the understanding of what you've come to learn and move on in your life. At the end of that particular lifetime, it is measured if we succeeded to meet our intended life path and the relevance is in what amount of growth that we were capable of achieving in that lifetime.

Personal Philosophy is Like The Set of The Sail
We have all experienced the blowing winds of disappointment, despair and heartbreak. Why, then, would each of us, in our own individual ship of life, all beginning at the same point, with the same intended destination in mind, arrive at such different places at the end of the journey? Have we not all been blown by the winds of circumstances and buffeted by the turbulent storms of discontent?

Principles That Govern My Life
The strength and durability of a building is found in its foundation. The same is true in a life. What we accomplish and the effect we have on those around us is not only in what we do, but also in who we are. In fact, what we do is driven by who we are, what we believe and value and by the principles that we live by.
Love the Opportunity
Somebody said you have to love what you do, but that's not necessarily true. What is true is that you have to love the opportunity. The opportunity to build life, future, health, success and fortune.
